Eating Disorder Therapist Godalming

Specialist Support for Eating Disorders, Body Image and Self-Worth

Many people struggling with eating disorders or body image concerns appear to function well on the surface. They may be successful at work, caring towards others and highly responsible, yet privately experience intense self-criticism and a constant feeling of not being good enough.

I provide specialist psychotherapy for adults in Godalming seeking support with eating disorders, body dysmorphia, emotional eating and self-worth difficulties.

My practice is based in Liphook, approximately 20 minutes from Godalming, and I also work online throughout the UK.

Common Difficulties

I regularly work with clients experiencing:

  • Anorexia

  • Bulimia

  • Binge Eating

  • Emotional Eating

  • Body Dysmorphia

  • Low Self-Esteem

  • Perfectionism

  • Anxiety

  • Chronic Self-Criticism

Looking Beyond Food and Appearance

Food and body image concerns are often symptoms of deeper emotional struggles.

Many clients discover that beneath the eating disorder or appearance concerns are longstanding beliefs such as:

  • I am not good enough

  • I must achieve to have value

  • I need approval to feel worthy

  • My appearance determines my worth

Therapy provides the opportunity to understand where these beliefs originated and how they continue to influence everyday life.

My Approach

I work integratively using Humanistic Psychotherapy, CBT, ACT, Attachment Theory, Transactional Analysis and psychoanalytic thinking.

My aim is to help clients develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion and emotional freedom.

  • In-person therapy in Liphook
